As an intern for the paper, I was able to cover local sports while gaining experience with writing game and feature stories, interviewing, an editing. I mainly covered Legion and little league baseball, with some softball and volleyball as well. One of the feature stories I worked on was an investigative piece about the Hampshire Regional YMCA gymnastics program, which had just recently let go of their coach due to an HR related problem. The piece is still being investigated.
