The role includes working alongside vulnerable children and young people at risk from harm. Working with Looked after and accommodated Children, assessing the ongoing risk to them and ensuring they have a safe, stable and secure life. Report writing for court, Children's Hearing System, and Child Protection Investigations. Early Intervention and prevention work with Children and Families. Managing fostering and adoption processes. Providing support to children and families who have mental health issues, substance misuse, and domestic abuse concerns.

Supervising social worker within the fostering and adoption team. I assess and support foster carers and adopters as well as arranging and supervising short break, short term, long term and permanent placements.
