My position as an Intern with the charity was extended to encompass the role of Events Assistant. This position requires an active involvement in the deliverance of the Race For Life Events. I am required to work closely with the whole of the events team to aide in the deliverance of a successful event that is in keeping with the event experience, brand.

In this role I worked with the Marketing and Events teams to promote the Race for Life Events within this region. It involved direct promotional activity through direct engagement with the public; the deliverance of devised marketing strategy; and engagement in dialogue with organisations to encourage corporate sponsorship of the events.

This role allowed me to develop extensive customer service; communication; multitasking; and prioratisation; and diplomacy skills. I was involved in the coordination and deliverance of food and beverage orders between customer and kitchen; food and beverage preparation, staff training, money handling, day-to-day cleaning and maintenance duties, and stock.
