As a NextGen Iowa volunteer, I registered 30-50 voters a day and knocked on hundreds of doors around the Iowa City metro area leading up to the 2020 Iowa Caucus. I also helped organize community engagement events to get students motivated to engage in the political system and cast their vote for progressive candidates.

During my time as a COVID swab runner at the UIHC, I was in charge of responding to calls quickly, collecting and depositing around 100 swabs a shift and putting together swab kits to be distributed throughout the hospital. I worked in the Pathology lab by myself and was in charge of communication between other labs regarding the COVID swabs and what supplies were needed where.

In this role, I was tasked with summarizing complex legislation in a way voters could understand through a public database. Additionally, I collected, analyzed and organized information on hundreds of political candidates all across the country.
