A computer scientist at San Jose State University who is currently seeking internships that will offer hands-on opportunities to help further my knowledge in this advancing field. I am familiar with a variety of languages including C++, HTML/ CSS, Ruby and Ruby on Rails, and Python, a list I plan on expanding. Furthermore, I am precise and very detail-oriented. When given a task, I like to break the task to its microcomponents to ensure that I have a good understanding of the foundations for what is being asked in order to, at the least, deliver customer satisfaction.Recently, I had the opportunity to intern as an information technology specialist and despite not having any IT experiences, the internship opened up new perspectives. I discovered how much the duties of being a specialist generally varies on a day to day basis. Most importantly, the experience sparked my interest in attaining a background in cybersecurity and front-end web design after working on re-designing the internal web page of the company, which, unprecedentedly, was implemented. Currently, I took up a position as a cashier to further develop and expand my communication skills with customers but also with my co-workers and higher-ups. I believe communication is key in ensuring a successful teamwork. Additionally, it allows me the chance to exercise my problem-solving skills. My goal is to network with others and attain more opportunities that can provide hands-on experience that will supplement my academic, career and personal development.
