Energetic, Reliable, Problem Solving, Event Organizer who has over ten years of experience in developing Sports Marketing Campaigns/Event Planning and Management in the Sports/Racing/Endurance Industry. Thrives in a fast faced, high level stress environment to deliver the best experience for all clientele and guests at events. My areas of expertise include:•Event Marketing/Planning • Sports Event Promotions • Hospitality/Guest Relations • On Site Planning/ Event Execution • Event Contract Negotiations • Hotel & Travel booking •Event Budgeting / Billing • Social Media Marketing (Facebook Advertising, LinkedIn, Twitter)• Public Speaking / Presentations• Written Communications • Email Marketing •Software qualified in Microsoft Office, Adobe Indesign , Zoom, MailChimpA graduate of Purdue University in 2011 w/ a degree Public Relations and Marketing, I always had a passion for sports growing up watching my dad coach football and always being on the sidelines with him as a kid. I quickly realized after my first "big girl" job out of college that I wanted to work full time for a sports organization. My first big break came working for ESPN Radio in Chicago. I spent several years working long hours, weekends, being short staffed and driving very long hours to different broadcasts in the area. It was a very tough job at times but extremely rewarding and taught me so much about the industry and how to roll up my sleeves and be willing to step up and tackle any task at hand. Little did I know at the time how this job would set me up for success in the future. Six years ago on a whim, I happened to be looking for NEW job opportunities and this job with an IndyCar Race owner fell into my lap. Growing up in Chicago, I knew NOTHING about racing ( we breathe football, baseball, and basketball here) but I was willing to give it a shot because it seemed like a "chance of a lifetime" With all my experience from ESPN radio and amazing recommendations from my mangers I landed the job. With this job in IndyCar has allowed me to enter into a whole new world in the sports industry and through this position I've grown and stepped up and took on a leadership role I did not think I was prepared for. Quickly into this job my boss stepped down for personal reasons pushing me into a bigger role and I rose to the challenge. I am always open to discussing speaking opportunities, questions about my career path, and offering insight to my fellow peers. Feel free to email me at PRSarahann@gmail.com
