Omahadines.com is my new one-stop food website, launched in 2018. It features all my restaurant reviews, along with restaurant news, food photos, my favorites around the city and Food Prowl, an ongoing "best of Omaha" series.The Omaha Dines newsletter has more than 21,500 subscribers. The weekly newsletter includes new, original content each week, as well as links to recent stories I've reported and a preview of the upcoming week's review.In January 2019, the Omaha Dines podcast launched. I co-host the podcast with my husband, Matthew Hansen, who is also my main dining partner. Together we discuss food trends, topics and Omaha restaurants. We interview occasional guests from the food industry.Each week, I review a restaurant. I also report restaurant openings and closings, menu changes, chef news and let readers know where to find the hottest, newest pop-up. I started a series at the paper called Food Prowl, where I create teams of tasters and go around Omaha to find our favorite foods in a number of categories. We are now in our sixth year of the series. I also write stories about cooking, food trends, agriculture and the local foods movement and how it affects Omaha restaurants, chefs and diners. I am an Omaha native. I love eating, cooking, travel and fashion. I post regularly on social media, and have active Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts. Last year I finished my second book, "The Better Half," which tells untold stories of Nebraska. I co-wrote it with my husband, Matthew Hansen, who is a columnist at the World-Herald.

Wrote a weekly art notes column in the World-Herald's Go section, along with arts-focused enterprise stories for the Living section.

Managed all public relations duties for the Sheldon Art Museum on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus. Spearheaded social networking for the museum and built an online presence for the organization.

I wrote about fine arts, among other things, for The Reader, based in Omaha.

I promoted travel and tourism in the state of Nebraska. I worked with journalists of all kind, bloggers as well as radio personalities, television reporters and travel writers, freelance and other.

I do freelance work for a number of university publications, including alumni and other magazines and newsletters.
