I have a passion for working with children and youth. Having spent the past 22+ years in the field of education, with a focus on working with students with special education needs, I have been witness to the significance that decreased access to opportunities and resources has on an individual, and am excited to help Glowing Hearts Charity bridge the gaps to facilitate change in our community. While my title is Board Chair, being a part of a completely volunteer-run organization, my role extends beyond the typical duties-from program development/implementation to web design, communications to social media…I am responsible for the day-to-day operations for this organization. ​I feel honoured to be a part of Glowing Hearts and believe that Frank Nelson would be incredibly proud of the direction this board is taking as we move forward. I am also proud to have served on the Board of Directors for AlgomaTrad working to build community and connection through music, dance, art, and heritage craft traditions, and on the Board for the Magnetawan Watershed Land Trust.
