People matter.This truth has fueled my career throughout the last twenty years.My journey in marketing and communications began at a family-owned urban newspaper group, where I began asking the question—what makes people take action? I created print and web designs that propelled local engagement, turned pages and increased website clicks. From there, I was a key member of the print production and marketing teams for a regional urban business newspaper before joining a Fortune 500 media group. During that time, I created and presented advertising campaigns, led a creative team and launched several print publications.I expanded my industry knowledge following my time in the media sector while at a well-established advertising agency, where I created print and digital campaigns, wrote content, began working in packaging design and large-scale print design and was introduced to television and radio marketing.In my most recent roles leading marketing and communications efforts for community-based non-profits, I have increased engagement and inspired action for target audiences, having earned recognition along the way for outstanding design, digital marketing and content development. I have received the American Graphic Design Award, been named a Constant Contact All Star Awards for seven consecutive years and have been designated as a Constant Contact VIP Subject Matter Expert.I see each day as a fresh opportunity to reach people and improve communities through marketing and communications. While the landscape of new and traditional media continually shifts, one thing will hold steady through it all—people matter. And with that truth at the forefront of my focus, challenges become opportunities and lives are changed.
