Rawstorne studio was established in 2007 fusing the skills of Robin Rawstorne and Sarah Johnson, (Creative Director and Creative Producer), into a multidisciplinary visual arts studio. Our motivation and passion is to tell connecting and engaging stories within the 3d environment. We are storytellers, visuals artists and designers. Creating immersive story based worlds, themed environments, interactive experiences and live shows. Combining new technology and creative excellence in spatial environments. Leading from human experience – creating connection, wonder and celebration. Our tools are ingenuity, experimentation, curiosity and inspiration. Our clients are extremely varied and include government, museums, gaming companies, theatre, dance and opera companies, local government, art trusts and festivalsFollowing on from our role as ‘Head of Design’ for the Rugby World Opening Ceremony at Eden Park, we extended our reach to China. There we established a strong client base and partnership with Auditoire Asia, were we continue to work with clients as Creative Director for large scale events and installations.This work led us to establish a working partnership with international gaming behemoths Riot Games. For the last 2 years we have have worked alongside their creative teams to help create stadium sized opening ceremonies for their world finals ‘League of Legends’ live broadcast events. The result of our 2017 collaboration at Beijing's ‘Bird Nest’ saw the Riot Games win the first ever Sports Emmy for a gaming company.In New Zealand we have just completed our role as Creative Directors for the APEC CEO Summit - a hybrid virtual / in venue event and are looking ahead to 2022 where we will once again continue our role as Head of Design for WOW 2022 as well as continue our collaboration with NZ's most successful gaming co. - Grinding Gear Games
