I lead Ruby Brick, a digital communications agency that collaborates with nonprofit executive directors, school leaders, and small business owners to craft compelling, creative, and data-driven communications strategies for maximum impact. We help organizations expand their reach and find their people, amplify their message so it connects with their target audience, and activate their community to cultivate deeper connection and partnership. I have authored one book and ghostwritten another, as well as had articles featured across numerous print and digital publications. I also deliver workshops on digital marketing, such as emailing marketing for authors and social media for nonprofits.Prior to leading Ruby Brick, I worked in a marketing department for a software company after almost a decade in higher education and nonprofit leadership. My current work pairs my passion for people doing good in the world with my love of writing, words, and storytelling. I am an alumni of Emory University’s Start:ME accelerator program for entrepreneurs and hold an M.A. in Sociology from the University of Kentucky. My husband and I also started a social impact business in Guatemala City.
