About Sarah S.

Vermont is the most beautiful state and I am proud 4th generation Vermonter that still believes in hard work, dirty hands, and seeing the beauty around us. With being a true Vermonter, comes the belief that we take care of our own. The elderly in Vermont are very fortunate we have such an amazing Long Term Care program that I have worked with for 18 years and plan to keep our elderly safe and taken care of. My personal beliefs are incorporated into my careers. First is compassion and kindness. I believe that all should be treated with respect, given your full attention, and compassion. Life is about what we have to offer to others in the way of assisting or helping. We put too much effort on ourselves and not those around us. Amazing what a smile or comforting word can do for a stranger. My experience has covered everything from being in the travel/hospitality fields arranging all inclusive packages, sales, customer service manager, software training for medical providers for the state Immunization Registry, and now as a Long Term Care specialist for Vermont Medicaid as a financial specialist and also in a role mentoring/supervision. Ageing is something none of us can avoid and I believe in all having dignity and kindness. When not in the office working for the State of VT, it depends on the season...Spring, summer, and Fall I'm loving the outdoors and enhancing our beautiful home and shady acre. In the Winter I am painting or playing with new ideas in my art studio. Peace and love to all who have made it through my ramblings here. :)
