Miyazaki English Club, or MEC, was created as a passion project to bring together the local and international community, by promoting the exchange of ideas and culture through English language learning. As a co-founder of MEC, I was responsible for developing the brand and mission, as well as ongoing marketing, building partnerships with local businesses, course creation, and training, to ensure customer retention and growth.This fulfilling experience has allowed me to combine my love for intercultural communication and advertising, and my extensive experience in teaching ESL.

As a licensed teacher, I developed and taught engaging curriculum to junior high and high school students, and managed hundreds of student's learning goals. I applied a data-driven approach to implement processes that helped achieve prefecture-wide learning objectives, including standardized tests and university entrance exams. I coached the English speech and debate teams, bringing both to the national level in Japan. I gained valuable leadership experience, often developing English department materials and presenting mock lessons for Open School events, designed to increase enrollment amongst prospective parents and students. As a Technical Support Analyst at Rocket Fuel, my primary responsibility was to provide 24/7 technical support to Rocket Fuel's self-serve platform users. I supported a variety of international accounts, through campaign analysis, daily troubleshooting, and escalations to internal teams as needed. I also worked with my team to compose and publish articles for our internal and external knowledge base platform. As a Technical Support Analyst, I collaborated with product, engineering, and other internal teams on a daily basis, to provide quick solutions for our self-service customers.
