I taught two sections of Writing Studies 100.

After an extensive, 5-week training session, writing consultants lead one-to-one coaching sessions with graduate and undergraduate students.

Essential Responsibilities:* Generating local content daily for print and online, including calendar & entertainment listings, news briefs, crime reports, business briefs, school and education notes, faith notes, photo galleries, etc.* Monitor email: prioritize, download, edit, compile, consult, post.* Community engagement, communication with community, readers and sources. *Support the production team of “The Aspen Idea” magazine with tasks such as assembling photos for selection, writing photo captions, tracking photo credits and fact-checking text.*Prepare blog posts contributed by Institute staff and partners in a Drupal CMS, adding hyperlinks and editing in a limited capacity for Institute style.*Support the weekly preparation for the Huffington Post Aspen Institute channel, by helping to assemble invitations to bloggers and writing short articles to accompany selected videos, among other tasks. *Follow up with programs to get their photos after events, uploading the photos onto the Institute’s internal server and Flickr.*Disseminate published materials to programs. Send program staff relevant Institute coverage of their events and other content (PDFs of magazine pages, images, blog post links, etc. for use on their own web pages and external websites).
