My work is now and has always been about transformation. In the past, I have helped individuals transform their lives through asset building, business coaching, burnout recovery, and radical self-love coaching. I have helped communities transform by building and funding resources that long outlasted my tenure at any one position or job - changing the face of community spaces and places, creating inclusive and thriving neighborhoods, and contributing to long-term economic stability and growth that was designed to lift all boats and leave nobody behind. Now, I am beyond thrilled to work in transformation in a new area, supporting Lane County's efforts to shift the way we handle our local housing and homelessness crisis. We get to work together - between service providers who help people who are unhoused, unsheltered, and/or experiencing homelessness, as community members who care about humans and believe all people ought to have safe, affordable places to sleep at night, and local governmental resources - to create a new path forward. We have the chance to build a completely new way to help our community grow and thrive. Right now, I'm spearheading the implementation of Lane County's Affordable Housing Action Plan so we can increase the availability and affordability of housing for people of all income levels. We have woefully underbuilt for the past decades, leaving us with too few places for people who live here to lay their heads at night. It's time to get our resources and plans together and build appropriate housing for people of all incomes and backgrounds - especially those who have been systematically left out of opportunities throughout Oregon's history.
