I am a neuroscience major at High Point University in North Carolina. I worked as a Starbucks Barista and Trainer for a year then as a Barista Coffee Attendant at Marriott International for the summer of 2023. Growing up neurodivergent, I have always wondered how my mind works and why it caused me so many challenges in my youth. This led me to seek how I could address this gap in research and practice. I have research experience in Neurofibromatosis 1 research, mainly focusing on the effect it has on D1 and D2 (dopamine) receptors. I split cell lines, and created well plates to use in experiments. I am currently looking and applying to graduate schools for behavioral neuroscience and psychology in California.
