At this position, I was responsible for oversight of Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPO) and Rural Planning Organizations (RPO) within TDOT's Region 2. I served as a liaison between local governments and TDOT and was able to attend a variety of local meetings including traffic studies, project development studies, congestion management committees, economic development strategy sessions, and field reviews.

As an archaeological technician, I am responsible for conducting cultural resource inventories, documenting archaeological sites, and making professional judgments on how federal and state agencies should manage these sites. Also responsible for creating maps for the reports and preparing GPS data collected in the field for submission to the client.

Duties include multiple stages of Cultural Resource management, but primary responsibility is geospatial analysis and map production. Also, involved in report writing, artifact processing and analysis, excavation, and field survey.

I instructed discussion sections and labs for Introduction to Anthropology for 3 semesters. For one semester, I acted as a teaching assistant for the graduate level course, GIS in Archaeology.

Review geospatial products to ensure they met the specifications set forth by the customer. Used both Intergraph’s GeoMedia and ESRI’s ArcMap to digitize and review data over stereoscopic and monoscopic imagery. Developed queries to locate topological and attributional errors in the dataset. Communicated errors to those in production in order to ensure the highest quality data was delivered.
