This is satendra! I am studying and working in the field of textiles from more than 10 years. I did my Masters (MTech-Textile Chemical Processing) from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. I love fashion garments specifically denims and used to wear denim jeans and jackets. When i was pursuing my Master's in New Delhi and it was the time of winters, i found the problem in wearing denims as it is made of cotton (dyed with indigo dye) which has negligible thermal insulation doesn't provide warmth and comfort in chilly climates. I took up this problem as my master's research project and started working on denim made of other than cotton for cold areas and cold countries. Eventually, we have successfully dyed wool with indigo dye, and after years of hard work, we ended up with indigo dyed 100% wool/wool blended anti-microbial denim fabric with enhanced mechanical, comfort and thermal properties. Moreover, we have addressed the 2nd problem of water consumption and pollution caused by denim industries. It takes around 1500 gallons of water to make a pair of jeans which we have reduced to only 40 liters through the use of sustainable dry technologies at commercial scale in textile industry for the first time in the world. Today, INDIGOTEX PVT LTD is world's first blue wool denim manufacturing company producing denim fabric with wool content from 10 to 100% for different temperature ranges in the cold areas and cold countries of the world. The company's product portfolio also includes sustainable indigo dyed wool yarn in different count and shade ranges for woolen knitted garment industries. The indigo dyed wool yarn manufactured knitted garment after producing worn out lool like denim provides unique and stylish knitted wool products.
