My role as the CEO called on me to guide the ACCI’s overall strategic plan. A large part of my role involved collaborating with the government and non-government stakeholders to reflect the challenges of trade/economic development during high-level government meetings. I also worked closely with our global partners and International Chambers to maintain trade and transit flow operations at dry ports and getaway corridors.✯ Development: Made critical contributions towards driving trade and transit development projects while concurrently promoting Afghani exports to new international markets.✯ Management: Effectively managed ACCI’s resources by recommending annual budget for Board approval, utilising prudent approach towards expenditures, and ensuring budget guidelines adhered to applicable laws and regulations.✯ Leadership: Positioned ACCI to attract private sector support and spark growth by training staff to deliver impactful services in accordance with national trade and export policies.

While working with the Ministry of Justice, I was able to overhaul our nationwide legal departments while leading the day-to-day operations for the Legal General Directorate of MoJ, including Kabul Legal Directorate. I enforced court decisions and delegated enforcement activities to competent authorities.✯ Management: Architected insight-driven roadmap which enabled legal departments across national, provincial, and district levels to enact major operational change and resolve fundamental issues impacting legal affairs.

As a Legal Adviser, I reviewed contracts for mining, cement, and oil/gas projects. My main duties were to draft amendments using my expertise across mining laws and regulations. I counselled our senior leaders on crucial contractual and regulatory issues by conducting deep legal analysis on our most challenging projects.
