Growing up I watched my father work very hard for everything we had. I wouldn't understand until years later that by watching him, I was learning what an honest days work really was. That has stuck with me through my whole life and I have profound respect for my father who is still working hard today.As I worked through different jobs trying to figure out what I wanted to do in life I learned some good lessons on the way. Working for City DPW's and County Road Commissions taught me about prioritizing my work, leadership and ultimately keeping your customers happy. My experience through other jobs gave me a sense of how important the details are, the importance of teamwork and what being a leader really means to me. For the last fourteen years I have been performing very satisfying work and loving it. I have helped turn a single location non-profit retail store, into a three location 2 million dollar operation. I go home each day knowing that I helped another family achieve something they could not do on their own. I do my best to give 110% in whatever I do, especially when it involves my children and my work. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my wife and our 5 children. We fish, ride bikes and love to go for walks.I decided to go back to school and obtain a college degree. We should never stop trying to improve ourselves. A lesson I hope I have conveyed to my children. I want to make them proud and prove to them how important a college education is.
