Scott G. Eberle, Currently VP for Play Studies, formerly Vice President for Interpretation at the Strong National Museum of Play since 1989, oversees exhibit development and other interpretive projects, now writes a blog, re:Play, for the museum’s website, and "Play in Mind" for Psychology Today. See his TEDx Rochster talk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jApW2tilJOI HIs book Classic Toys earned critical praise. He is Editor for the American Journal of Play. Eberle holds a B.A. in History and Philosophy, and a M.A. in Social and Intellectual History from Bowling Green State University (Ohio), and a Ph.D. in cultural history from SUNY at Buffalo. After teaching at D’Youville College, and the State University College of New York at SUNY Oswego, Eberle began his museum career at the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society.

As VP for Interpretation at the Strong National Museum of Play from 1989 to 2007, I oversaw many dozen exhibit development projects large and small and wrote exhibit scripts that included: American Comic Book Heroes and the Battle of Good vs. Evil (2009); Child’ Play on the Crabgrass Frontier (2007) Field of Play (2006); The National Toy Hall of Fame, (2004); At Liberty to Play; Barbie, Who are You?; and Toys as Mirrors, Toys as Memories, (2003); Meet the Beatles (2002); Making Things Happen; and Toys from Mars! (2001); TimeLab (1999); Can You Tell Me How to Get to Sesame Street? (1997); Kid to Kid (1996) Small Wonders: The Fantastic Voyage into the Miniature World, (1995); and Say Ahh! Exploring America’s Health (1994)
