Monitored daily operations in Afghanistan and assisted the Executive Director of Operations in advising the Chief Executive Officer on operational and strategic decision making and risk management - Supervised four Strategic Communications personnel in tracking tactical events that effected the strategic environment, the political environment, and the information environment; this allowed NATO to control the narrative for over 33 press releases and maintain legitimacy on the ground - Synchronized advisors to the Afghan Minister of Defense and the Afghan Minster of Interior to ensure they remained aligned with NATO priorities which resulted in better coordination between NATO and Afghan Security Forces. - Chaired a weekly multi-stakeholder engagement to either disprove, verify, or dispute civilian casualty claims made by the Government of Afghanistan and the United Nations Assistance Mission-Afghanistan; saved an estimated $3M in false claims against the US government - Selected from among 32 other colonels to establish a senior executive Situation Room to monitor air and ground operations, information operations, intelligence, and logistics; this enabled the Chief Executive Officer the ability to make informed and timely decisions and to proactively send real-time updates to senior civilian and military leadership in the U.S. and NATO
