Budget and cost containment responsibility for all logistics departments.

• Provide overall leadership for the Minneapolis manufacturing facility and perform as the point person to those external of the facility during the search for a new plant manager in addition to managing the logistics.
• Lead all departments through budgeting process for 2007.
• Assist HR in recruiting efforts of plant manager & Quality Engineer.
• Facilitate the formalization of a Labor Management Committee to address opportunities and differences more proactively than the grievance process.
• Work closely with accounting to present monthly numbers and bridge variances.
• Responsible for overall plant safety. Challenged to improve safety culture in plant.

Member of the International Board of Directors for APICS, The Association for Operations Management. Elected by the Heartland District.

• Represent the needs and preferences of plant logistics' operations during the configure, implement and post go-live phases of corporate enterprise software (PeopleSoft) implementation, while maintaining high level.
• Define “as-is” and map “to-be” inventory operations; especially pick, pack & ship.
• Test and provide user acceptance of system modifications and enhancements.
• Provide user training of inventory functions.
• Provide ongoing/post go-live assistance for users.
