About Scott Jackson
I am a lifelong retailer who specializes in the consumer experience. I love a start-up and bringing new or digitally native brands to retail. While many believe that US retail is dead or dying, I believe it is in a time of rapid reinvention. Over the span of my career, with great teams, we launched new businesses and sales channels within existing companies, created new concepts and opened stores in multiple retail environments. This includes automated retail, airports, urban street side, store-in-store, malls, outlets, and lifestyle centers. I have also worked with pop-up events and fast-moving retail installations. I am one of the right brain/left brain leaders who manage the consumer experiences and touchpoints as well as delivering the top and bottom line with precision expense control. My projects have won the VMSD store of the year and 3 ARE (American Retail Environment) awards and have a great eye for store design and in-store experience. I love the feeling when you walk into a store and find the visual moment. On the personal front, I am a dog parent and have a Vizsla rescue. I have bought and completely reimagined a dozen properties, at least one from every decade 1950s to the 2000. I love to cook and likely have more kitchen gadgets than you do. I love to garden and hike and appreciate the beauty in nature. Ask me about Oprah's picks, the Spielberg movie The Terminal, and how Adam Levine ended up on vending machines all over North America. My skill set is broad, and I am fiercely loyal to my projects, my teams, and the industry that I am so passionate about.
