Leadership of the Cyber Action Team (CAT), the FBI's premier cyber-Incident/investigative response global fly team, as well as the Advanced Digital Forensics (ADF) team.CAT represents the highest tier of the USG's threat response capabilities and deploys onsite to government, private sector, critical infrastructure, and foreign partners targeted by sophisticated national security or criminal cyber actors. CAT and ADF includes SSAs, special agents, computer scientists, professional support, and engineers located at FBI-HQ (Washington, DC), in dozens of FBI field offices across the US, as well as legal attaché offices around the world.Together, CAT and ADF develop, implement, and execute bleeding-edge cyber technologies to conduct incident response, deep-dive intrusion forensics, large-scale data analysis, mobile and device forensics, as well as malware reverse-engineering to deliver best-in-class services and (most importantly) the right people to work alongside entities impacted by cyber threat actors.

Lead large team of Supervisory Special Agents (SSAs), Computer Scientists, Professional Staff, and engineers supporting cyber effects operations, global cyber incident/investigative response, and complex national security or criminal computer intrusion investigations. Responsibilities include:Directing technical operations, including denial and deception operations, to disrupt national security and criminal computer intrusion actors targeting US government and private industry and gain access to adversary systems to dismantle their infrastructure as well as identify and locate cyber actors.Management of the Cyber Action Team (CAT), the FBI's premier cyber-incident/investigative response team, which is responsible for deploying onsite at victims of computer intrusions to conduct investigations. CAT includes SSAs, Special Agents, and Computer Scientists located in Washington, DC and in FBI offices across the world. Development and implementation of bleeding-edge cyber technologies supporting both technical operations and incident response capabilities.

Supervisory Special Agent in FBI Cyber Division - Technical Operations Unit. Responsibilities include developing and managing technical operations as well as denial and deception operations to target and disrupt national security and criminal computer intrusions affecting government and private industry partners and gain access to adversary infrastructure to dismantle operations and locate/identify cyber actors. Supervising member of FBI Cyber Action Team (CAT); responsible for deploying onsite to support the investigation and mitigation of active intrusions. Identify, design, and deliver case-specific and enterprise-wide technologies to support the investigation and analysis of national security and criminal cyber intrusion incidents. Serve as Cyber Division's program manager for the FBI's operational "dirty" network, which was designed to facilitate the analysis of data (malware, pcap/netflow, drive images, etc.,) encountered during overt and covert operations as well as consensual/court-authorized (FISA/TIII) intercepts/collections.

Supervisory Special Agent in Cyber Division - Emerging Threats/Technical Analysis Unit. Identified, designed, and delivered case-specific and enterprise-wide technologies to support the investigation and analysis of national security and criminal cyber intrusion incidents. Served as Cyber Division's program manager for the FBI's operational "dirty" network, which was designed to facilitate the analysis of data (malware, pcap/netflow, drive images, etc) encountered during overt and covert operations as well as consensual/court-authorized (FISA/TIII) collections.

Supervisory Special Agent in FBI Cyber Division. Served as program manager over Cyber's Digital Extraction Technicians; responsible for recruiting, training, equiping, and managing the program for more than 80 special agents who were assigned to conduct the forensic analysis of digital evidence seized in FBI cyber investigations. Provided technical support to agents conducting on-scene forensic imaging of evidence and post-scene analysis of seized items. Identified and deployed key technical hardware/software solutions to support the forensic capture and analysis of digital evidence. Served as a lead for Cyber's Technical Working Group, which was designed to identify technical problems, develop and deploy solutions to resolve such roadblocks in cyber investigations. Also served as the Cyber Program Manager supporting multiple FBI field offices across the US, specifically as it related to online crimes against children.

Investigated computer intrusions, internet fraud, white collar crime, public corruption, civil rights, terrorism, as well as violent crimes including bank robberies, kidnapping, and crimes against children. Provided technical and computer forensic support to federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies and served as the technical lead on all computer/internet-related issues affecting the region. Conducted multiple joint investigations with other federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies and worked closely with private industry to identify, disrupt, and dismantle criminal activity targeting their businesses. Assisted in the prosecution of multiple cases in federal, state, and local jurisdictions. Also served as the FBI liaison to several large corporations in the area.

Assigned to Legat Baghdad and detailed to various sites within Iraq to conduct counter-terrorism investigations affecting the US and its allies. Gathered evidence and intelligence to assist the US and Coalition Forces on matters affecting theater operations. Conducted joint investigations with other federal agencies as well as foreign military partners.
