The Synod Standing Committee (SSC) acts on behalf of the Synod between ordinary meetings of the Synod regarding all matters across the life of the Uniting Church in Queensland. In exercising its powers and fulfilling its responsibilities, the SSC has regard to the following guiding principles:- focusing on the strategic and policy issues of the church- engaging in competence-building activities for its members- efficiency and timelines in approvals and decision-making.

The Remuneration and Nomination Committee (RNC) assists and advises the Synod Standing Committee (SSC) in fulfilling its obligations for human resource matters, through oversight of nomination and remuneration policies and practices.In doing so, the RNC assists management to create and promote a culture of capable, engaged and service-oriented people operating in an environment that values diversity, talent management, safety and engagement in delivering against the Synod strategy.
