Within my post as Customer Assistant I developed a wide range of skills including customer service, cash handling, receiving deliveries, stock control, working within a team, opening and closing the shop ensuring it was secure and working on my own. I believe my customer service skills are of a high standard and my excellent knowledge of the retail industry can be transferred to a post in customer service along with my mature attitude and hard-working ethic.

I was given the opportunity to work as an admin trainee at East Ayrshire Carers Centre, in their Cumnock and Kilmarnock Offices. The company specialised in assisting people who have a caring role, whether they are young or old. At EACC I learned many new skills in the office, answering calls in a friendly manner and making appointments, creating reports for the finance department, inputting clients referrals into the company database, managing diary entries, meeting and events effectively, supporting other centres when required, assisting new colleagues and meeting and greeting visitors, making sure their needs were met. I learned how to complete basic office tasks like shredding, scanning and coping on the printer, using the Microsoft apps such as Publisher and PowerPoint.
