My responsibilities as a Workplace Relations Advisor include:Drafting and negotiating enterprise agreements for member clubs;Representing members in unfair dismissal conciliation conferences with Fair Work Australia;Providing verbal and written advice on a range of workplace relations areas including; interpretations of the Fair Work Act, the Registered and Licensed Clubs Award and enterprise agreements, staffing issues including disciplinary action, terminations and redundancies,;Drafting and providing advice on the preparation of employee contracts;Interpreting the transitional arrangements in the Registered and Licensed Clubs Award and preparing the industry wage rates;Assisting members in the drafting and implementation of staff policies;Drafting articles for the Association's monthly ClubLife magazine focusing on key workplace relations topics; andProviding advice and initial representation for members for employee disputes.

My responsibilities as a Member Enquiries Advisor included:Advising members on a range of topics including employee relations, Award interpretations, the Corporations Act and the Registered Clubs Act;Providing interpretations of policies for members and providing assistance in drafting of policies where required;Providing research support and assistance to the Workplace Relations team on a wide range on issues, such as underpayments, unfair dismissal applications, enterprise agreements and employee disputes;Drafting articles for the Association's monthly ClubLife magazine focusing on key workplace relations topics;Drafting articles for regular Workplace Relations e-newsletter.

My personal responsibilities as a Workplace Relations Officer included:Reviewing members' Employment Agreements to assess their legal validity in accordance with the provisions of the Real Estate Industry (State) Award;Discuss invalid or incorrect Employment Agreements and providing assistance in the proper correction of the document; andPrepare advice and information to members concerning employment related matters.
