Scott Smith is the CEO and President of The Barn Group (The Barn). He has 21 successful years in sales with 15 years in management. He has 10 years in the Land and Water Conservation industry. His success lies in his ability to build personal relationships with clients. Scott excelled while working for The Home Depot, Comcast Corp, The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company and Cooks Pest Control. Scott is the Chair of the Land Committee of Southern Conservation trust in Georgia. He has been a part of 60 and counting land easements conserving over 65,000 acres. Scott created The Barn in 2014 to promote environmental stewardship and land conservation. He started The Barn with an environmental guru who himself has 11 years of experience in land stewardship and has conserved natural resources in over a dozen stream and wetland mitigation banks and reclaimed miles of riparian area from invasive weeds. They know the value of conserving natural resources for future generations. Since its inception, The Barn designed and constructed more mitigation banks, created in-depth market analysis of mitigation banking and has been asked by the Environmental Protection Division to analyze state-wide wildlife data. They have decided to take on the role of Land Trust to further the promotion of stewardship and conservation. The Barn seeks lands for conservation easements across the country.
