I directed the Finance and Accounting departments, which also encompassed the human resources, risk management, investor & lender relations, and legal functions for the business. We developed an internal investment banking function which ultimately led to a record capitalization rate. We also created a solar energy start-up company, drove the capital and tax planning functions, implemented an insightful financial reporting structure and improved business planning tools, and counseled various locations’ management teams.

I directed the Finance and Accounting Departments, which also encompassed the risk management and legal functions for the business. While there, we developed and implemented a 3-year strategic plan with a sharpened focus on the company’s “core” EBITDA. We also established a “Review Board”, rebuilt the finance team by recruiting new talent, searched for opportunities along with strategic partnerships, and spearheaded a comprehensive refinancing and restructuring of the business to better position it for success.

I directed the Finance Department along with the Accounting, Marketing, and Business Development functions. At Heritage, we implemented a “Business Unit” concept to reorganize departments and their related financial reporting, instituted a disciplined credit and collections function, and transformed the Accounting Department from a transaction processing group into a GAAP-conforming, proactive function.

I directed the Finance, Accounting, Plant Control, and Human Resource Departments. My role there also consisted of transforming the spending philosophy and expense controls, restructuring their human capital, advancing internal and external financial reporting while implementing key performance metrics, refinancing work, and the implementation of an enhanced equity incentive program.
