As a BA at North Star BlueScope Steel, my main job is to develop reports for our team to use in making day to day business decisions. To harness the vast amounts of data we have, I use OpenText's iHub reporting system. I can develop complex queries to our databases, design a report, and present it to my fellow employees in a clear, concise manner that is easily accessible through the iHub interface.The latest project for us, is delving into the world of big data analysis. With the help of OpenText's Big Data Analytics (BDA) package, we can do complex data mining, predictive analysis, and other processes without having to write a single line of code. Working closely with our Finance and Sales departments, we find even the most innocent looking bits of data, when combined, may open up a plethora of opportunities that may not have been thought of before.
