I worked toward creating a program to manage, maintain enhance and sustain the urban forest in Anchorage, AK, with the help of many partners including, but not limited to, Alaska DNR Division of Forestry, USFWS and the USFS. The Anchorage Park Foundation (APF) was the cornerstone to the foundation of the program. The Federal and State Partners were able to effectively manage grants through the APF for direct project engagement. Principally, I was working to inform and educate citizens, landscape architects and designers the importance of adequate spacing and care to maximize tree benefits and ecosystem service values, the need to diversify species composition and understand comprehensive maintenance considerations. I also managed many staff involved in field operations as well as volunteer, school, academic and "at risk youth" programs.

Urban Forestry Manager for Missoula Parks and Recreation. I supervised the tree, horticulture and trails and medians crews to take care of our green resource.

I provided support and direction for seasonal workers taking care of trees in the City of Greeley. I had enormous support from Joe Lohnes and Shiloh Hatcher in my time as an Arborist and a Code Enforcement Officer. I gained experience in plan review, site evaluations, maintenance and reforestation

I inspected power lines from the substation to the end pole ensuring tree safety concerns and compliance as per the Pacific Gas and Electric Company specifications. I would inventory, notify property owners, ensure safety and provide pruning specifications. Basically, I had the pleasure to walk and drive hundreds of miles of power line and ensure safe, reliable power for beautiful regions in northern California.
