I started at CSIRO as a Divisional Webmaster, looking after all aspects of web development and management for the Ecosystem Sciences division. This involved web based application design and development, content and site management. I worked with stakeholders and clients to deliver various web based products and services including a custom built scientific survey and an online scientific database application.In 2011 I moved into the central web team as a Senior Web Developer working initially with a variety of web platforms and specialising in Sitecore development. During my time on this team I have:- worked on development, specification and management of various web projects with internal and external teams and stakeholders- selected appropriate platforms to meet clients needs and budgets- helped consolidate disparate web properties and applications into preferred platformsMy vast experience in all aspects of web application and service development over a long period has led to me taking on the position of Manager for the Web Services team in 2017.Recent projects and achievements include:- technical design and development of campaign websites working with external agencies- managing and prototyping product development using the Atlassian JIRA platform- system design and development for web content delivery to corporate display screens- component development for CSIRO's main web properties- advising on appropriate products and platforms for video, web pages and web services

I started my own small business which catered to small and medium businesses and provided systems which allowed the small business person to update their own website, a technology at the time that was either primitive in functionality or too expensive. In this role I developed products for web content management and online sales and provided customised sites and hosting.

In this position I worked on web interfaces and database software integrating web based administration and online ordering and support for electronic faxing software. I worked on prototyping worldwide Windows networks, and an online software registration and support system.

In 1996 I left my job at Baker & McKenzie to pursue web development which was still in its infancy. I started my own small business and soon found myself contracting to ninemsn, one of the biggest players on the web in Australia at the time. After my contract at ninemsn finished from 1997 - 2000 I developed many websites and held several contract positions including:- Websites for small businesses- E-commerce websites for small and medium businesses- Web based content management systems for government agencies- Public web based email site for a startup business- Web based content management for high profile magazines- Web based financial systems for medium sized investment business- Web based software sales and support systems for a small software company- Intranet development for a Federal Government agencyIn 2000 I left Sydney to pursue new opportunities and a different lifestyle in Canberra.
