Scott oversees a unit of attorneys and investigators within the CFTC’s Division of Enforcement as Deputy Regional Counsel in the agency’s Chicago office. The Division investigates and prosecutes violations of the federal commodity laws in federal district courts throughout the United States, as well as administrative forums, with a primary mission of ensuring open and competitive futures markets and protecting the public and the markets from price manipulation and fraud. Scott received the Chairman's Award for Distinguished Service in 2016.A proud alumnus of Yale University, Scott volunteers with the Yale Chicago board and the Yale Alumni Association, and for many years has headed Yale's alumni volunteer effort to recruit and interview applicants to Yale. Scott also serves as a director of Montgomery Place, a non-profit continuing care retirement community located in Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood.
