I initially worked on the platform, which facilitates communication between our website and our suppliers by connecting to their APIs or sending them FTP files generated to their specifications. My main tasks were adding new supplier integrations and adding functionality to enable improved customer flow through the website.Later I was a key part of a complete rewrite of our code base, both front and back end. I specifically worked on DB schema design and migration, all layers of the back end (controllers, services, persistence, and configuration), and a single-handed implementation of our lead creation system (which is the company's main source of income).After the redesign, we switched to full stack engineering teams, so I continued my platform work, while also using Angular.js a bit. My biggest full stack project was embedding a dynamically configured and generated DocuSign contract experience into our checkout flow.

Member of the Automation Team at Symantec DLP in San Francisco. Worked with Selenium, HTTPUnit, vmware Lab Manager, vmware vCloud Director, and Exactor framework to automate testing of the DLP product. Wrote the integration between vCloud Director and Hudson/command-line jobs to build VM configurations to run tests on.

Used ROCCC to implement the crossings test and the half-plane test algorithms to solve the Point in Polygon problem on FPGAs with large speedups over software. Evaluated the effectiveness of various optimizations provided by ROCCC.

Heavily modified open-source Python software (multi-mechanize) to enable customizable and extendable performance/load testing of a web application's JSON interface.Used 0MQ to build a simple Ruby-C interface to add value to and avoid rewriting legacy libraries.

Developed an online lab class and workshop reservation system for use by various departments at UC Riverside using PHP, HTML, CSS, and MySQL.Lead a team of three interns in the design and development of web applications using JSP, MySQL. and Java with Struts 2.0, Spring 3.0., and Hibernate 3.3.Did various IT/System Administration work: troubleshooting of staff hardware: installing/updating necessary drivers/programs, removing extraneous programs, wiping malfunctioning computers, and readying computers for new users.

Proposed my own research problem and, with approval and guidance, formalized the problem and designed an algorithmic solution.

Photographed news, sports, and music events, while adjusting my methods to fit and complement each venue.
