During my time as a casual worker at Lowe I was able to find the opportunity of financial assistant at the company. I was excited to get the chance to work in the office and understand the admin after getting the 1st hand experience of what the company does. While working within the finance team I have:- Processed large quantities of invoices daily - Controlled the AP email inbox - Processed statements to add to payment run- Developed my knowledge of Business central dynamics 365 and Flowlens.- Worked with ERP team to assist with system implementation and Data entry- Used Excel daily, which increased familiarity with shortcuts and formulas

This was a class experience where I got to travel to Glastonbury, England to help build cold rooms, service them and take them down again once the festival was over. I thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity as I got to take in the festival environment while working within a fast paced work environment with crucial deadlines that needed to be met. I also worked in a diverse team where it was necessary to practice my spanish when working with some of my colleagues.

In my role, I worked part time as a receptionist across the QUB accommodation sites. I balanced this job on top of my studies and enjoyed having an income as well as learning new skills. This was role had me on site for any number of days of the week depending on the work load available. I was there to help with the maintenance and general upkeep of the building so some of the daily tasks I completed where organizing the bin area, a litter pick around the building and effectively clearing out rooms. This was a great job as I got to experience different tasks each day.

At Marks & Spencers, I worked within different departments in the store and was able to work efficiently within each one. I was a flexible member of the team that picked up overtime hours and covered shifts if necessary. This opportunity allowed my to improve my customer service abilities as I was able to direct customers to the products they where looking for or perhaps suggest a better alternative, when operating on the shop floor. When I was working at the tills I would be responsible for taking payments, completing returns and refunds, placing orders for items that were out of stock or dealing with account payments on credit cards.
