Conversion And Integration Lead
The State of Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) contracted IBM to Implement PeopleSoft HCM OAKS), BI/Cognos, Oracle Learn and Oracle Recruit. Mr. Deweese was brought in to lead the conversion and integration efforts for this project. Mr. Deweese created the conversion designs using input from the Oracle Learn team and the ODOT project team to convert almost one million records from ODOT's legacy Learning system into Oracle Learn. In addition, there were several small conversions from other ODOT Legacy systems into PeopleSoft HCM. Mr. Deweese also managed the integration efforts and was responsible for configuring the State of Ohio's Custom Architecture for Integrations in PeopleSoft HCM. In addition to this, he also coordinated the effort for scheduling of all interfaces through UC4 for both the Oracle Learn and Oracle Recruit integrations to PeopleSoft. Mr. Deweese also coordinated the efforts to onboard ODOT to the State of Ohio's existing Hyland OnBase document management system.

IBM was selected by DOI to perform this implementation. Mr. Deweese was chosen by IBM’s Partners to work on this highly selective project to implement SAP's Plant Maintenance module for DOI’s 50,000 plus individual assets. In addition, Mr. Deweese performed integration to IBM's MAXIMO system to integrate Real Property work orders and building and location records. Mr. Deweese has performed design, assisting and sometimes leading blueprinting sessions with the different Bureaus in the Department, creating functional design specifications and leading functional design sessions with Bureau members to gain consensus from all bureaus involved. He has configured SAP with test data and configured processes to run through several test cycles, created highly detailed test plans and executed the steps to ensure proper configuration and supported Bureau end-user testing. Mr. Deweese was also involved during cutover to the production system, configuring the latest pieces for the current Phase and regression testing to ensure that all pieces, for all Bureaus were functioning correctly.

He designed the data load process, and created Utilities to view the historical information from the PeopleSoft portal. Further into the project Mr. Deweese also worked on the Chart of Accounts conversion, this used several SQR programs to convert over 400 million rows of financial transactions to a new chart of accounts. In addition, Mr. Deweese also worked to develop many financial reports in SQR, such as Profit and Loss, Grant Disbursements, and Budget and Revenue Balancing. Mr. Deweese was involved with the ENCOMPASS project for the full life cycle and performed multiple mock cut-overs to test system readiness and procedures. Throughout the life cycle of this engagement Mr. Deweese, in addition to the other development work, provided a single point of contact for moving custom development objects and code to Testing and QA environments.
