My work experience as a senior manager and estimator for large contracting companies greatly assists me in construction project management, reviewing bids, scheduling, billing, and working with contractors. To understand what the guys on the other side of the table are thinking, and trying to accomplish puts us in the drivers’ seat. This experience provides me with a long list of great construction companies and home builders that I can bring to the table. Construction management is not only an understanding of the construction process. To be successful there is a need for great communication skills, negotiation and organization. These skills have been finely honed in my years of experience. Previous clients will attest to my attention to detail and successful completion of every project assigned. Communication skills are put to the test in the construction environment; I have successfully managed both large and small construction projects and actively communicated to all involved parties. These parties may include, clients/owners, public entities, contractors, engineers, inspectors, and financial partners. It is imperative that relationships be maintained during the daily negotiations of a construction project for the project to be completed successfully, on time and in budget.Negotiating in a construction project is a mixture of the financial, schedule, and resource management in conjunction with an understanding of the project goals. The construction manager must on a daily basis negotiate with all parties involved to meet the goals of the project, while maintaining costs and schedule.
