Wotif.com (ASX:WTF) bought (in late 2007) and delisted travel.com.au which was an Australian based, publicly traded (ASX:TVL), on-line travel experience provider and software vendor.My scope was the Operational turn-around of Product Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Operations, and the Project Management Organization supporting the travel.com.au subsidiary - which included http://www.lastminute.com.au (focus is domestic short get-away trips), http://www.travel.com.au (focus is international holidays), and Arnold Travel Technologies http://www.arnoldtraveltechnology.com (focus is the delivery of a commercially sold flight and hotel booking engine). As part of the Executive team, we doubled the stock price, sold travel.com.au to wotif.com and worked out our committment.

This meant responsibility for demand generation (market development, key client management), and provisioning supplies (recruiting, consultant development). Peregrine operations were bought and folded into HP in April of 2006.

Teradata was a subsidiary of NCR and dominated the large scale Data Warehousing market - providing software, services, and hardware to the global tier 1 clients.As the Practice Partner, I had accountability for an AUD $10M Professional Services business, over 60 staff and carried a regional revenue and margin quota. This translated to accountability for demand generation (market development, key client management), provisioning supplies (recruiting, consultant development), and operations (contract/project execution). Key result area included a strategic move from T&M support engagements to a special integrated product/industry team approach across Australasia, enhancing a balanced business profile that spreads across sectors (public and private), industries (Retail, Banking, Telecommunication, and Government), and product (Analytical CRM and Data Warehousing).
