Supply Chain Manager
Current• Lead, direct, and coordinate the activities of HRT personnel engaged in the quotation, sourcing, and placement of POs for raw materials, components, and finished goods according to historical consumption, forecasted demand, and production capacity. • Acquisition of secondary or contingent suppliers to ensure non-interruption of manufacturing processes. • Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.• Through continued negotiation practices, ensure pricing of all components is competitive and achieves desired profitability.• Support gross margin goals by negotiating and controlling component costs, lead times, inbound freight terms and purchase quantity requirements. • Collaborate with the HRT Engineering team in the development of specifications for substitute materials, component revisions, new product development, or tooling/equipment needs. • Coordinate with Vendors/Suppliers to ensure that any/all critical POs arrive on schedule, within negotiated terms. • Maintain existing supplier relationships and initiate potential new supplier relationships. • Timely, thorough, and effective communication of any pending or existing Supply Chain interruptions with appropriate internal departments.• Generate and process reports (Open PO, POs in Transit, Inventory Availability, etc.) as requested by management and/or other departments. • Communicate performance expectations and provide qualitative feedback to management regarding quality and performance of suppliers.
