I am a seasoned professional services practitioner with deep technical knowledge of, and practical experience with, risk management and internal control. I have 33 years' experience (23 as a partner) delivering assurance and advisory services to the mining, financial services, telecommunications, ecommerce and technology manufacturing industries in Australia and through-out Asia Pacific.I am currently a partner in EY's Asia Pacific Assurance Professional Practice Group, supporting EY teams auditing internal control over financial reporting (ICFR) under US Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) standards. I provide ongoing quality assurance, technical support and training across Asia Pacific for integrated audits, including through Coaching, Pre-Issuance Reviews, Capital Markets Reviews, PCAOB Inspection Support and Audit Quality Reviews. I also help US SEC Registrants with their initial and ongoing assessment of ICFR under Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act - as either auditor or advisor - leveraging my previous experience running a SOX404 program for a Major Australian bank.I currently work closely in-country with EY teams auditing US SEC FPIs across Asia Pacific, including in Indonesia, Philippines, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, Vietnam, Australia and Japan.I have previously been the lead ICFR audit partner for a Global diversified resources companies, the Independent Banknote Distribution Auditor for a Major Australian bank, and the IT audit partner for a Major Australian bank and a Global coal mining company. I have also delivered a range of IT audit, internal audit and IT risk advisory services, including remediating user access management for a core banking system, establishing IT governance over a data warehouse, evaluating compliance with SWIFT obligations, and providing IT risk management as a managed service, all as an advisor to a Major Australian bank.
