I'm searching for a new career that is in my wheelhouse and appeals to my specific knowledge and experience. Since my time, a little under 20 years, with the sheriff’s office I have sought professional Gunsmith and armorer training. I have several basic certifications as well as currently working on my advanced master gunsmith certification. My background is in Special Operations Law Enforcement, Training Instructor, General and specialized in firearms and SWAT. Have a suitable environment for the animal (a home visit will be required). Ability to respect the decisions of Adopt-A-Dog on an animal’s long-term future.Main Duties (but not limited to):Animal WelfareTo provide a patient, loving environment while the pet is in foster.To follow the Rescue's advice on any issues involving the foster pet, including training, behavioral, exercise, dietary, and medical situations. To provide feedback about the animal on foster to the foster coordinator, which will help in finding the appropriate permanent home.Viewings for Adoption-To be available for a potential adopter to view the animal at the foster home, or alternatively to bring the animal back to foster for viewing. To bring the animal back to Adopt-A-Dog when a permanent home has been found.To refer any interested parties offering a permanent home to the foster coordinator and not make any promises regarding adoption that rescue may not be able to keep.Veterinary Care-To bring the animal to one of GSD Rescue of Georgia vets for any medical checks or treatment and not to any other veterinary center.Transportation- To be responsible for the safe transportation of the animal.
