My experience in the IT industry began in 1990 and I have worked in a variety of environments including mining, manufacturing, banking, professional services, shipping and utilities.Past roles range from mid-range operations and desktops to network design and server builds on a variety of platforms such as VAX/VMS, all flavours of Windows and UNIX. Additionally I have worked on Intel desktops and laptops since the 90's building, deploying and managing desktop platforms.I have specialised in architecting and managing solutions using IBM/Lotus messaging and collaborative products namely Lotus Domino, Sametime, Traveler, BlackBerry and Domino.Doc with some Websphere and DB2 experiences. More recently managing the End User Computing environment for Ausgrid encompassing PC's, tablets, and printers, as well as maintaining the relationship with service delivery vendors.I have an avid interest in new and emerging technology including cloud and how it can best serve the organisation but also in how existing technology can be leveraged to its fullest potential thus minimising cost while leveraging the best value out of a product solution.I am a well presented individual who is often described as pragmatic, and visionary with a “big picture” mindset.
