I am a fully qualified Design & communication graphics (product design) and Engineering technology teacher from Ireland. I graduated from the University of limerick with a Bachelor of Technology (education) in materials and engineering technology. I have been teaching in Dubai for the past year. I am currently teaching Dubai International school (DIA), emirates hills. This is a private school, rated OUTSTANDING in the most recent KHDA inspections. I currently teach MYP design & technology and am a homeroom teacher to year 10 students.Before moving to Dubai, I spent 3 years working in a community school in County Meath in Ireland. Throughout my years in this school I managed a variety of ECA's, organized various STEM competitions and served as head of department for my final year. I invigilated and moderated both in-house and state examinations. Having worked in both industrial and educational backgrounds, I can always relate my teaching to real-life and practical examples for my students. I thrive on making the learning environment as fun and engaging as possible while also ensuring every student is making better than expected progress in my lessons.
