Guatemala

Monrovia, Liberia

Acting Business Development Specialist working remotely with the Liberia Country Program. Responsible for developing a resource mobilization strategy and lead writing USAID proposals and concept notes. Highlights of my work are as follows:- Secured over $4 million in USAID funding- Created a resource mobilization strategy and launch event that has resulted in a 3X increase of funding to date- Developed the budget and wrote the cost narrative for USAID proposals

Freetown, Sierra Leone

Participated in a competitive fellowship focused on Program Management, Operations, Business Development, and Monitoring and Evaluation within CRS. Highlights from my fellowship are as follows: - Operations lead for a $10 million concept note on plastic recycling- Lead an in-depth lit review about housing finance resulting in recommendations and potential partnerships for the Freetown Mayor's Transform Freetown Initiative.- Created 4 procurement process flows and 2 HR process flows to clarify and streamline procurement, recruiting, and payroll processes.- Created the “best onboarding package” that consultants for an agency-wide housing and shelter initiative had received to date by synthesizing over 100 documents and over 15 key informant interviews- Led research on housing finance and networked with potential donors for the Freetown Mayor’s Transform Freetown Consortium resulting in a research paper and recommendations for partnerships to implement the project- Streamlined the procurement and HR processes by creating 4 procurement process maps, a procurement tracker with KPIs, and 2 HR process maps- Created a method for “social sourcing” vendors in rural Sierra Leone that aligns with CRS’ procurement policies but allows small vendors in project communities the opportunity to provide goods and services for CRS.

Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Bolivia, Kiribati Micronesia

- Coordinated interns serving the Foundation during summers from 2013-2018. - Lead community development projects in collaboration with 25+ churches in Latin America to create childhood nutrition programs servicing over 800 children.- Oversaw program expansion into Colombia, Bolivia, and Kiribati, which required managing transportation, lodging, finances, procurement of program supplies, and program implementation for 5 US-based interns and 20+ in-country coordinators.-Designed and implemented trainings on the topics of nutrition, monitoring and reporting of program statistics, program implementation, and communication procedures for 50+ in-country program coordinators.
