Masters lever design program drawing students from across the world. I worked with a eclectic group of four students with diverse backgrounds on a humanitarian project to improve dental health in the Western Cape of South Africa. The program lasted from March to October 2013, and took me to South Africa to meet my teammates, and to Berlin to present the final product. A flushed out report annotating every phase of the design process was written, including final product description and suggestions for future work. In addition to designing a product, an educational program was developed in association with using the project and describing the importance of dental health to children at the elementary level.

Rocky Hill, Ct

I was tasked with a parametric study of foaming hotmelt adhesives with nitrogen. Optimum parameters were determined for each adhesives, and testing followed to compare properties of the foamed adhesive to its unfoamed properties. The test plan for the study was significantly improved, and a formal report was written with all findings.

Administrative assistant style of work. Answering phones, making copies, running errands and so forth.

Roanoke, Virginia Area

Projects varied across disciplines. The first project was determining hydraulic motor efficiency as pressure approaches zero for several different sized motors. Another project involved working with an industrial engineer to overhaul the work order process from sales down to the manufacturing floor.
