My primary responsibility is the proper recording of Accounts Receivable journal entries in GAO's financial system (the Legislative Branch Financial Management System). This includes the recording of any bad debt allowances and write-offs. I also perform reconciliations between the general ledger and the Department of Agriculture's (National Finance Center) Account Billings and Collections System. Also related to receivables, I populate and submit GAO's Treasury Report on Receivables. This also involves updating and also creating reports within the National Finance Center's Insight Reporting Tool. I am a GTAS Certifier and have performed that duty for GAO and customer Legislative Branch commissions. Other duties include reporting and researching interest payments paid by GAO and submission of Provided-By-Client items to support the financial audit.

• Analyze recurring and varied ICE program financial data for Real Property and Internal Use Software. Create SOPs as necessary to document and align work for repeatability, compliance and consistency• Prepare and enter multiple journal entries related to Real Property and Internal Use Software, using ICE’s Federal Financial Management System.• Responsible for the ongoing review and correction of peer journal entries for multiple DHS components and asset types (Leasehold Improvements, Personal Property, and Real Property)• Completed multiple reconciliations for ICE. This included pulling data from multiple data sources and coordinating with other ICE property accountants to ensure accuracy of general ledger account balances.• Supplied supporting documentation, sub-ledgers, JVs, and reconciliations in response to PBC requests from auditors. Responsible not only for ICE responses, but also for oversight of responses for ICE OFM customer components to ensure accuracy and timeliness. • Developed and implemented a process for reconciling ICE Office of Asset and Facilities Management’s Real Property Management System to ICE’s Financial Management System. This involved analyzing ICE’s reporting process for Leasehold Improvements to determine data links between the systems and coordinating with the ICE Financial Property Branch Chief and ICE Office of Audit Compliance staff.• Provided financial data to ICE Financial Reporting and Statements branches' accountants to provide support in responding to DHS data calls and inquiries. • Provided support to the ICE OFM Financial Property Branch Chief by directing Financial Property Branch team meetings, relaying requirements for branch deliverables and accounting policy, and providing feedback to other team members on work products and drafts. This included clarifying existing policies to staff, relaying concerns to the branch chief, and provision of general updates to the branch chief regarding Property Branch efforts.
