After AutoESL was acquired by Xilinx, I was also transferred into Xilinx and continued to develop Vivado High Level synthesis (from C/C++ to RTL) (aka Vivado_HLS). My responsibilities mainly focused on compiler transformation and optimization for Vivado_HLS.Responsibilities - Designed and implemented LLVM based passes to support new features- Maintained and enhanced the existing features driven by customers’ feedback- Traced and fixed functional issues within stipulated times- Improved quality of result by resolving optimization issue- Amended usability issues reported by customers elegantly- Decreased the runtime by optimizing the algorithms (runtime issues)- Traced and fixed thorny memory issues (segment fault, memory leak, repeatability)- Upgrade the system with LLVM updating- Oriented fresh employees with technical help- Migrated the system into new development environment - Refactor code to be more easily maintained and robustAchievements- Greatly improved QoR making Vivado High Level Synthesis Tool be widely accepted - Won positive feedback from customers with quick solutions- Received top rank during annual performance review Developing tool: Vim, gcc, gdb, gprof, SVN, valgrindDeveloping platform: Linux, Windows, Cygwin

I started my professional career in AutoESL which is a start-up EDA company founded in UCLA and focused on flagship high level synthesis allowing users to capture their design in high abstraction level (from C,C++ or SystemC to RTL).
