I worked collaboratively with a team to revitalize the Canadian Music Centre in BC by creating a new business model harnessing a virtuous cycle that engages three complementary cohorts of performing arts donors; creators, practitioners & educators; and youth.Donations have increased tenfold since I began, through enhanced engagement focused on creating magical experiences for our unique family of patrons and matching donors with specific opportunities that meet their desire to have meaningful impact within the art form they love.In my role I oversee artistic and executive leadership, strategic vision, fundraising and development activities, staff hiring and management. I also play an important role in the national organization, serving on branding and strategic planning committees, helping to establish composer standards, developing policies, and supporting community-building initiatives across Canada.Notably, I led a building renovation project involving creation of a new 45-seat accessible music performance space using raised funds. The result is an elegant space with high-end AV, a lobby, bar and box office production studio. We built in a retractable wall to reduce project costs and timeline, creating the most affordable rental concert space in Vancouver.I have also been awarded $100K in grants to support innovative anti-racism, decolonization and Indigenization initiatives. I am coordinating an effort to completely reimagine CMC BC’s programs, values and services to centre them in EDI and reflect true diversity, alongside ongoing consultations with Indigenous leaders to create new programming.

Engaging all stakeholders in the process, I helped revitalize this organization by overseeing a complete rebrand across visual identity, mission, vision and values. The turnaround resulted in doubled ticket sales, sold out concerts, and a 20% growth in donations.We rebranded the organization with a more feminine, less corporate identity in response to marketing analysis demonstrating 65% of decision-makers were women. We also fully reengineered the patron experience chain and implemented new communications and technology systems.

We grew a website-building service for international classical performing artist from the ground up to 150 clients. I was responsible for sales, financial management, billing and customer relations.

New York

I launched and ran a New York artist management agency that produced concert tours and special events in North America, Europe and Asia. We built a reputation for spotting market opportunities, such as China opening up to Western influence.Notably, our agency produced televised Ricky Martin concerts in China that filled 60,000-seat stadiums, capitalizing on the singer’s heightened popularity following his World Cup 98 performance and the growing interest in soccer in China.

New York

I managed award-wining recording artists including Yehudi Menuhin, John Browning, Maria Tipo, and Nikolai Lugansky Robert McDuffie and Philharmonia Quarett Berlin. I also produced tours in North America and Asia for Czech Philharmonic, Vienna Symphony, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Prague Chamber Orchestra, Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, Vienna Chamber Orchestra, Guildhall Strings, and Royal Canadian Winnipeg Ballet among others.
