Manage the implementation of the companies PULSE PDM System.Responsible for 3 ranges of machines, overseeing design and production issues. Review and address type approval and braking issues on machines.

Brought into the company to bring "big company" engineering practices to a smaller engineering company. So far this has included• Establish new drawing numbering system and train staff in use of system.• Set up and establish job folder system to ease traceability of information from previous jobs. • Create a product coding system to reduce the amount of text on spec sheets.• Standardise product options where possible to have better control on what is being sold. • Hire new engineering staff and train and develop current staff. • Develop a product production sheet so production has all the information required on one document. • Liaise with suppliers to improve technical knowledge of engineering department. • Introduce an ECN system so all engineering changes/cost savings are properly captured. • Liaise with sales to ensure that the technical information on their spec sheets are correct. This involves generating standard sales drawings.

• Head up a multi-disciplinary team working on UK and European projects.• Commissioning of Compression/Injection/Roto Moulding and GRP Tooling from tool design to production release.• Key aim is on-time delivery of cradle to grave new product development in conjunction with relevant legislation.• Main product groupings are new Plastic and GRP sewage treatment systems and rainwater harvesting systems.• Project management includes generation and presentation of concepts, project feasibility through costing.• Design and supervision of tooling manufacture, liaising with marketing to ensure a smooth transition to product launch.• Commissioning product launches including supervising initial production trials and creation of standard operating procedures for shop floor assembly.• Analysing existing products with major focus on cost reduction and re design for improved lean manufacture. • Product change via ECN and general everyday engineering office duties.

• Lead Design Engineer for the design of rotationally moulded proprietary and contract moulding products for the UK and Irish market.• Main product grouping was Fuel Storage systems such as Oil, Adblue and Bio Fuels. • Designing for a variety of markets ranging from water sports industry, road safety devices and outdoor furniture • Supporting new project development from engineering stand point• Project work includes production and presentation of concepts, project feasibility through costing, design and supervision of tooling, product trailing, liaising with marketing and smooth transition of product launch.• Responsible for all engineering information including administration of PDMWorks data management system.• Provided design support to the contract moulding part of the company. • Product change via the usual ECN channels and general everyday engineering office duties. Software used was Solidworks, CosmosWorks and PDMWorks.
